About Sukan
A platform built by Sudanese, for Sudanese — connecting people to homes with transparency, technology, and trust.
Sudan has been through seismic upheaval. Millions have been displaced — some across borders, others across city lines — and the housing market has fractured along with them. In the absence of a trusted, modern platform, tenants rely on word-of-mouth, landlords lose reach, and the diaspora invests blind.
Sukan was built to fix that. We started with a simple insight: the biggest barrier to finding a home in Sudan isn't supply — it's trust and information. Listings are scattered, prices are opaque, and nobody has built a bilingual platform that works for someone in Khartoum and someone in Toronto at the same time.
We're building that platform. Verified listings, USD pricing for the diaspora, WhatsApp-first contact for people on low-bandwidth connections, and a bilingual interface that treats Arabic as a first-class language — not an afterthought.
What we believe
Every listing on Sukan goes through a verification layer. We'd rather show fewer properties than mislead a tenant or waste a landlord's time.
Arabic is not a translation of English on Sukan — it's a parallel experience. Every feature ships in both languages simultaneously, with direction-aware layout.
Sudan's diaspora spans six continents. We price in USD, support remote due diligence, and provide local advisor contacts so investing from abroad is genuinely possible.
We're a small, Sudanese-diaspora team distributed across the globe — engineers, designers, and operators who've all experienced the frustration of Sudan's housing market firsthand. We're building the platform we wished had existed.
